The Sink

Established in 1923, The Sink is Boulder's oldest restaurant, located at 1165 13th Street on The Hill near the University of Colorado campus. This iconic eatery is renowned for its eclectic atmosphere, characterized by low ceilings adorned with decades of graffiti and unique artwork, including the famous "Sink Angel" mural.

The menu features a variety of offerings, with the Sinkburger being a standout since its introduction in 1958. Patrons can choose between 100% grass-fed beef or Certified Angus, complemented by over ten specialty options. Another highlight is the Ugly Crust Pizza, known for its distinctive dough and creative toppings like the Buddha Basil Pie.

The Sink has attracted numerous notable visitors over the years. In 2012, President Barack Obama dined here, enjoying the P.O.T.U.S. pizza. Celebrity chefs Guy Fieri and Anthony Bourdain have also visited, with Fieri featuring The Sink on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives."

Beyond its culinary offerings, The Sink is deeply embedded in the Boulder community. It has been recognized as the "Best Food on The Hill" by Boulder Weekly, reflecting its longstanding popularity among locals and students alike.

Whether you're drawn by its rich history, unique ambiance, or diverse menu, The Sink offers a quintessential Boulder dining experience that continues to delight patrons after a century in operation.
